Robin Nodland
Owner/CEO
Robin Nodland and Carol Studenmund founded LNS Court Reporting in 1987 and LNS Captioning in 1992. Robin manages LNS Court Reporting and continues to report, leading the industry in seeking out reliable, intuitive technological solutions that make litigation easier, not more complicated.
Robin graduated from Court Reporting Institute in 1980. Since then, she has been honored to receive numerous court reporting certifications, including Oregon Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR), Washington Certified Court Reporter (CCR), Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), Registered Merit Reporter (RMR), Registered Diplomate Reporter (RDR), Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR), and Realtime System Administrator (RSA). On August 1, 2015, Robin was named a member of NCRA's Fellows of the Academy of Professional Reporters (FAPR). Robin has served in many positions with the Oregon Court Reporters Association and is currently Past President. She is also a member of NCRA’s Technology Committee and Education Content Committee. Robin has competed in the National Court Reporters Association’s Realtime Contest, placing fourth overall in 2005 and winning a third place Question and Answer medal in 2008.

Catherine Teach
Director of Client Development
We are very pleased to announce that Catherine Alley Teach joined LNS November 1, 2014, as Director of Client Development. Catherine graduated from College of Legal Arts in 1978 and went on to become a top-tier court reporter in Portland for 20 years, mastering every facet of court reporting, from litigation to arbitration to public hearings to medical transcription, and becoming an expert in security procedures for highly confidential documents handling and storage. She founded Teach Reporting in 1983.
Always at the forefront of her profession, Catherine was a pioneer of realtime reporting in Portland, and has been active in professional and industry organizations her entire career, including serving three terms as President of the Oregon Court Reporters Association, teaching court reporting procedures at Sumner College, and doing committee work for the National Court Reporters Foundation.
Catherine is a Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) and Certified Reporter Instructor (CRI).

Accounting Manager
Sejal Shah grew up in Mumbai, India. She has a degree in accounting from Somaiya College. She helped manage the books for her father’s steel business. Sejal has been with LNS since 2006, though she took a break to raise her young children and rejoined LNS in 2016. Being a mom is her favorite job!

Billing/Video manager
Gretchen Magarro manages the day-to-day operations of the production department at LNS Court Reporting. She has been working in the court reporting industry since 2009. She works closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and paralegals to make sure they have everything they need to handle their case.
Having earned an MFA in Media Design from Full Sail University, Gretchen brings visual and technological skills as well as a desire to learn that which is necessary to providing the best possible products for our specific client needs. Formerly a retention supervisor at UPS, Gretchen understands the importance of strong positive relationships and communication as core principles. A veteran of the US Navy, Gretchen also understands and believes in the importance of civic contribution and building a strong environment for our future.
Gretchen is a proud member of the Oregon Women Lawyers' dragonboat team, the Dragonflies.

Scheduling Manager
A graduate of Grant High School in Portland, Oregon, Janna started her career working for the Rankin VavRosky Doherty MacColl & Mersereau law firm, and then moved on to the Ater Wynne law firm, where she gained vast legal office experience. She did everything from distributing mail to faxing to filing to office floater. Janna then went to work for a local court reporting firm, producing and distributing transcripts. After a bit she dipped her toe into the legal records arena, and then jumped back to court reporting when a reception and scheduling position became available. In March 2019 Janna joined LNS as our Scheduling Manager, working her magic to fit all the puzzle pieces together for our clients’ court reporting, legal videography, and videoconference needs, while making sure her colleagues have everything they need to meet and exceed your expectations.

Production Manager
Andrew is originally from Northern California; he earned an associate's degree in Multimedia & Design from Butte College and a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema from San Francisco State. For several years, he was the Lead of the Photoshop Department for Lifetouch’s western U.S. production facility. He moved up to Portland in 2018 and joined a team assisting a major technology client with their artificial intelligence development. In these positions he learned a lot about fostering employee/client relationships and customer service, and further developed his already high attention to detail. In 2022, he joined LNS Court Reporting as a member of the Production Team, where he applies his experience into delivering quality service to clients and reporters.
